Andi has been working as a professional illustrator and surface designer since 1992. She got her start with staff positions in children’s apparel in Detroit and Chicago. Moving into the freelance arena, her illustrations have appeared in educational and social expressions markets. Her style has a sophisticated nuttiness with a retro twist and lends itself well to a variety of applications. Andi is self taught, and while experienced with gouache and colored pencil, she prefers digital, using Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop CS5 for Mac. Her wonderful list of clients include Klutz/Scholastic,Fisher-Price, Harcourt Educational Publishers, Highlights for Children, and Hallmark, and was invited to show her work at Cedarhurst Center for the Arts from January until April of 2010. She has been a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators since 1997, and currently resides in a Chicagoish place with her hockey-obsessed husband and two mischievous but adorable boys!
